Hair Extensions

Here are some tips that will keep your hair looking fabulous

Do's

Don'ts

-Wait at least 48 hours before washing after hair extension installation.

-Wash 2-3x per week. Gently brush before shampooing.

-Detangle wet hair starting at ends
*Brush hair gently 2-3x per day using an approved hairbrush. Start at the ends and work your way up the hair. Do not brush hair upside down.

-Hold the top of the weft with your hand as you're brushing to make sure you don't snag the thread

-Usr a mask at least 1x every 2 weeks

- Always use an approved detangler and thermal protectant before drying or styling. Use an approved oil on ends regularly between washes.

-Blow-dry hair 80% dry with your hand before using a brush

*Blow dry on medium heat. Ensure that bonds are thoroughly dried. Failure to do so can result in mold. Blow-dry time will take longer with hair extensions.

-Air drying is fine, but do ensure that hair is dry before sleeping

-Sleep with freshly brushed hair and braids or a loose bun. I recommend using a silk pillowcase and silk scrunchies.

-Wear a tight braid or bun at the beach, when swimming or in super wind conditions

-Only use approved products on hair extensions

Don'ts

Don't use high heat on your blow dryer or hot tools.

Never sleep on wet hair this will cause matting and painful tangles that can ruin your hair

Do not use purple shampoo or conditioner on extension hair

-Do not apply conditioners or conditioning treatments to roots or tapes if applicable.

-Do not go prolonged periods of time between move ups. Extensions must be moved up every 6-8 weeks. Failure to do so can result in unnecessary tangles and dreadlocks which will require an additional fee.

***Summer Care: chlorine and salt water can cause matting in hair extensions. Avoid submerging your hair if possible, but if not wet your hair in the shower before swimming and apply a conditioner to your hair avoiding the root area. Tightly braid the hair during swim and promptly wash and condition following water activities. Be sure sunscreen is approved. Non-approved sunscreens can discolor extensions.

Hair Extension Agreement

* A non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit will be required during the extension consultation. The deposit will be equal to half of the amount of the total service price agreed upon during the consultation.

*Any cancellations or changes to hair extension appointments made within 72 hours of the appointment will result in a forfeited deposit.

*If anyone other than Amanda Binkley removes extensions, an additional fee may apply to reinstall.

*If move up occurs past 8 weeks additional fee may apply.

*Hair extensions and services are non-refundable.
